ACTIVECLO2 is a powerful chlorine dioxide (ClO₂) molecule composed of one chlorine atom (Cl) and two oxygen atoms (O₂) held together by electrons. When added to regular potable water, it forms a clear yellow stock solution that can be stored for up to 30 days in a dark, cool, and sealed environment.

The applications of ACTIVECLO2 in aquaculture are extensive and impactful. It is instrumental in improving water quality in commercial fish ponds, enhancing fish and prawn larval rearing, and effectively reducing pathogen challenges to minimize the risk of disease outbreaks. Additionally, ACTIVECLO2 can be used for disinfecting pond water, removing biofilm from tanks and equipment, fumigation disinfection, disease prevention and treatment, and foul smell treatment. Studies have demonstrated that applying chlorine dioxide at recommended levels can proficiently control bacterial and viral pathogens in pond water without any adverse effects on fish and shrimp.

Furthermore, ACTIVECLO2 chlorine dioxide products offer a multitude of applications in the fish industry, including use on fishing boats, in wholesale/retail operations, for ice manufacture, for disinfecting display cabinets, in sorting/grading water for prawns, in spray/dipping applications for fish and prawns, for dipping de-scaled and gutted fish, and in transport water during live fish transportation.
